TODAY IS FINALLY HERE!! Yes, it is Christmas and that is exciting in and of itself but I've been eagerly waiting for today for some time. Excited to finally share with the world something wonderful I've been working on.
This is a little sneak peek of my cover design for Drew's Morning Light EP. It was such a fun project to work on, and I couldn't wait another minute to show this little snapshot of the project. The reason why I had to wait until today to show off my design was because it was a Christmas gift. You see my friend and extremely talented musician, Drew came up with this brilliant plan several months ago to surprise his sister and then-unborn niece with a EP containing personalized lullaby music. How sweet is that. After hearing his idea, I couldn't let this one pass me by. I knew that this project would be not only wonderful but one I would love.
We went right to work, taking advantage of the beautiful early fall weather to do his photo shoot which you can see a preview of his shoot HERE. When I posted my three favorite photos his first response was that one of them was going to be the front cover of his album! The typography design you see on the cover is all hand drawn by myself. I am in love with how is turned out and I can't wait to take photos tomorrow of the final physical product that I'll be sharing with you all tomorrow!!! A lot of work went into this project, not just the designing portion but Drew worked hours upon hours creating this present for his sister.
Drew I think you did a fantastic job, I absolutely love all of the songs, it's too hard for me to pick a favorite. The wait was definitely worth it! It sounds awesome!
